Adidas Boost
Commercial
A short effects animation for Adidas showcasing its boost technology. Made using Maya and composited in After Effects.

I started off by creating a platonic, then subdividing it 4 times to make it a sphere. After that I selected multiple faces, then subtracted them from the platonic to make an abstract looking cage.

The abstract looking cage looks like the above image. Then I subdivided it further to create those smooth curves at the corners of the cage.

For the last scene, I created a box, inside I have multiple spheres of varying sizes. I then made us of ncloth again, and puffed the spheres using pressure. This is to simulate the boost texture, as well as how my concept came about.

Progression (MAYA)
Here I showcase how I built up the scene and create the animations in Maya, using effects such as ncloth and fluids simulation 3D container (for the smoke).

Progression (AE)
Here I showcase how I composited the scene in After Effects, adding animated typography and color grading.

I composited the scene in after effects, sequencing the cuts to the music I choose from the very beginning.

I then added some simple typography animation, such as scale, and changing from fill to stroke. I also added the color green in the animation, to show energy and add life to the monochromatic look.
